Sarah Snider Earns SEC Volleyball Freshman of the Week

For the second straight week, a University of Alabama volleyball player was awarded SEC honors the league announced today. Sarah Snider’s performance last week has earned her SEC Freshman of the Week.
“I thought Sarah had just a really solid weekend,” Alabama head coach Judy Green said. “She plays all aspects of the game well, and this is a very nice honor for her.”
The Oswego, Ill. native racked up 43 kills and 37 digs in leading the Tide to a 4-0 record last week, including a championship in the UWM Invitational.
In Alabama’s first come-from-behind victory of the season versus Toledo, Snider recorded her second career double-double with 14 kills and 14 digs. Against Northern Iowa, she set a new career mark with four service aces.
Snider and her teammates return to action in the CAVE Wednesday night at 7:00 against Alabama A&M. Admission for the match is free.
