“Be a Warrior, not a Worrier!! All obstacles are simply a test for us to overcome.” was our quote of the day, which was definitely tested in today’s practice. The emphasis of today’s practice was defense vs. the right side attack and side out offense.
We started practice with three person dig and pass followed by a much needed stretch. We then broke down into groups and did some positional training. After struggling with defending the rights side attack and a slow start with our six on six competition in the morning practice we really got after it when we came back for our second practice of the day.
The "thugs" and outside hitters worked on blocking foot work while the right sides, setters and DS’s worked more on defending the attack from the right side. We ended practice with more six on six competition and everyone made huge improvements from the morning practice and we were able to accomplish our defensive goals we fell short of earlier that day.
