The University of Alabama volleyball team continued practice Thursday morning in the CAVE (Coleman Auxiliary Volleyball Extension) with a 90 minute workout that focused primarily on fundamentals.
Alabama head coach Judy Green was pleased in general with the practice.
“Overall it was a good practice,” Green said. “This was one of my favorite kinds of practices in that it was a teaching and learning practice. It’s good for us to make sure we have our fundamentals, such as foot work, in order after we scrimmaged last night. I was pleased that we were ready to go after a hard scrimmage last night and I am looking forward to another good scrimmage this evening.”
Just three practices into their college career, Green is also pleased that the Crimson Tide’s five rookies have already begun to adapt to their new team.
“I am really pleased with the freshmen so far,” stated Green. “They have fit right in and blended well with our other players.”
Alabama will practice again this evening at 6:00 p.m. The Tide opens the season on Friday, August 26 in at the University of Kansas.
