Several dozen boys and girls have begun their summer by perfecting their golf game at this week’s June 6-9 Crimson Tide Golf Academy. Tide golf coach Jay Seawell heads the camp which is being held at Ol’ Colony Club in Tuscaloosa where the camp makes great use of the Jerry Pate Golf Center which includes indoor putting areas, hitting bays and the best in video technology for swing and technique evaluations.
Tide golfer Lance Walker, who is doing a class internship in the University of Alabama’s Athletic Media Relations office this summer, is among the current Tide golfers who is helping out with the camp as one of the instructors and took these snapshots at camp on Monday.

Assistant Coach Michael Webb (left) shares his expertise. He was a two-time All-American at Augusta State.

Alabama’s golf camp is a family affair for Tide coach Jay Seawell who comes from an impressive golf family. His brother David (right, leaning on club) was an All-SEC golfer at South Carolina.

Jay Seawell’s father, Jackie Seawell, is among the camp’s instructors. He’s a professional golf teacher in South Carolina.
