Bama's Todd Finishes 3rd At Alabama State Amateur

ONEONTA – Gator Todd shot two under in the final round to finish third at the 89th Alabama State Amateur Championship held at Limestone Springs in Oneonta.
The University of Alabama golfer, a native of Florence, finished the tournament at three under par, shooting 70-67-75-69/281. Hoover’s Will Swift finished nine under to take the state’s title. He shot 69-67-72-67/275. Tuscaloosa’s Patton Kizzire rounded out the top three with his second place finish at six under par for the weekend (69-71-71-67/278).
Todd will be a sophomore on the Crimson Tide golf team next season. As a freshman this past season he competed in 11 of Alabama’s 13 tournament appearances, including the 2005 NCAA Championships. Todd had a 73.91 freshman season stroke average.
