Gottfried Opens Summer Camps With Parent-Child Camp

In a Father's Day week tradition, Mark Gottfried opened his annual basketball camp week with his special Parent-Child Camp on Friday and Saturday. Parents attend camp with their kids and together they have a great time bonding and perfecting their basketball skills. The camp, which Gottfried has held each year since he arrived at Alabama as head coach in March of 1998, is a favorite with parents and kids alike. They spend the night together in a dorm on campus. The parents learn drills they can work with their kids on at home. Hundreds more kids and teens will converge on campus at the University of Alabama this week as the Mark Gottfried Basketball Camps continue for both individual and team play.
