Tide Men's Track Travels to NCAA Mid-East Championships

The University of Alabama men’s track and field team travels to Bloomington, Indiana this weekend to compete in the NCAA Mid-East Regional Championships in an effort to advance along to the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, California.
The Crimson Tide has posted 36 NCAA Regional qualifying times and marks this season in 14 events.
Representing Alabama at the regional meet will be the Tide’s 4x100m (Chauncey Harris, LeMual Clayborn, Byron Gibson and Michael Cooley) and 4x400m (Clayborn, Curtis McBride, Peter Etoot and Cooley) relay teams; Harris in the 100m and 200m; Cooley and Clayborn in the 400m; Etoot and Titus Koeh in the 800m; Etoot in the 1,500m; Augustus Maiyo in the 5k; Alex Korir in the 10k; McBride in the 400m hurdles; Charlie Coleman in the long jump; Gabe Warren in the high jump; Matt Vogtner in the pole vault and Stephen Boozer in the discus.
The meet is scheduled to begin Friday at 12:00 p.m. with the men’s discus and will wrap up on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. with the men’s 4x400m relay.
