
Tide's Harris Has Successful Day at Drake Relays

University of Alabama junior Chauncey Harris made a name for himself at this year’s Drake Relays.
Harris posted a second place finish in the 100m with a time of 10.52. His was the top collegiate time in the event and he was only .21 seconds behind first place winner Churandy Martina of Curacao who had the fastest time in the world in the 100m heading into the meet.
Harris was also the lead on the Tide’s Sprint Medley relay team that finished third in the event with a time of 3:17.40. The team consisted of Harris, Marcus Siwemuke, LeMual Clayborn and Peter Etoot.
Bama will be on the road again next weekend as the team travels to the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus, Ohio.
