Walker Wins 400m Hurdles at Mt. Sac Relays

The Alabama women’s track and field team sent a contingent to the prestigious Mt. Sac Relays which included collegiate and international competition.
Junior Beau Walker won the 400m hurdles with a 56.43. Walker finished fourth in the 100m hurdles invitational with a 12.99. Both marks were season best efforts. Junior Kou Luogon was third in the 400m dash with a 54.25.
Junior Aymara Albury was fifth in the shot put with a season best throw of 54-09.50 and 32nd with a 154-07 in the hammer throw. Junior Beth Mallory was fifth in the discus with a throw of 176-00. She was 11th in the hammer throw, with a 191-02 effort.
Junior Tahesia Harrigan was third in the long jump with a career best leap of 19-10.75. Harrigan was fifth in the 100m dash with a season best 11.53. She was also 13th in the 200m dash with another season best 24.06.
The Tide returns to action April 23 at the LSU Alumni Gold in Baton Rouge, La.
