Women's Track and Field Posts Personal Best Marks

The Alabama women's track and field team posted four top-10 finishes at the prestigious Sea Ray Relays on the Tom Black Track in Knoxville, Tenn., including several career best efforts.
Senior Chafree Bain crushed her previous personal best in the hammer throw, taking fifth with a 175 feet and three inch effort, more than 5 feet better than her previous best. She also took sixth in the discus with a throw of 155 feet and five inches.
Sophomore Julia Hicks took ninth in the 1500m run with a career best time of 4:28.24. Sophomore Elizabeth Wancowicz was 20th in the 1500m with a time of 4:38.40.
Sophomore Megan Carnes was fifth in the 3000m steeplechase, crossing the finish line at 11:04.00. Sophomore Tara Enebak was 13th in the 5000m run, clocking a 17:48.40.
Sophomore Rachel Wilson finished in the top 20 in both the 100 and 400m hurdles. She was 16th in the 100 with a time of 14.17 and 11th in the 400m hurdles with a 1:01.39. Sophomore Kendall Clifford was 19th in the 100m hurdles with a 14.24.
The Tide also put together a distance medley relay that took seventh place with an 11:49.02.
