The University of Alabama has qualified four swimmers for the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships March 17-19 in West Lafayette, Ind.
Seniors Anne Poleska and Arlene Semeco, junior Kathryn Hallquist and sophomore Victoria Genova all earned bids to the meet in individual events as well as the 200 and 400 medley relays.
Poleska is the No. 1 seed in the 200 breaststroke and is among the top-10 in the 100 breaststroke. She is the school and Southeastern Conference record holder in the 200 breaststroke and is coming off her fourth SEC title in the 200.
Semeco ranks second all-time for the Tide in the 50 and 100 freestyles and will compete both events at the NCAA Championships with an eye toward breaking both records.
Hallquist is second all-time for the Tide in the 100 backstroke, the event she will swim for at nationals. She posted a career best 54.69 at the recent Bulldog Invitational.
Genova is the school record holder in the 200 butterfly and has worked herself back into form after redshirting last season due to shoulder surgery.
The Tide divers will look to earn their way into the NCAA Championships this weekend at the NCAA Zone B Championships in Atlanta.
