TUSCALOOSA - Rain has caused a delay in the start of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, South Carolina. The University of Alabama is one of 15 teams gathered there to compete for the tournament's championship.
The opening round was to have been played on Sunday, but inclement weather caused the round to be postponed. Instead the teams will play 36 holes, the first two rounds, on Monday and then the final round, as scheduled, on Tuesday.
The teams in the field include Alabama, Auburn, Augusta State, Clemson, the College of Charleston, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, North Carolina, North Carolina State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
Alabama’s five golfers competing in the tournament include Thomas Hagler, Clint Provost, Mark Harrell, Gator Todd and Joseph Sykora.
