Alabama 23rd at Women's NCAA Championships After Day Two

The Alabama women's swimming and diving team is in 23rd place after day two of the NCAA Championships being held on the Purdue campus this weekend.
The Crimson Tide's 200 medley relay, comprised of junior Kathryn Hallquist, senior Anne Poleska, sophomore Victoria Genova and senior Arlene Semeco, took 13th with a time of 1:42.01.
Individually, Poleska was 14th in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.99. Hallquist was 28th in the 100 backstroke with a 55.03 while junior diver Crystal Rasmussen was 21st off the three-meter board with 450.75 points.
Poleska is among the favorites in tomorrow's 200 breaststroke while Genova will compete in the 200 butterfly.
Alabama stands head of Southeastern Conference rival Tennessee with 27 points. Georgia leads the team race with Auburn a distant second. Arizona, Florida and Stanford round out the top-5.
