TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team hits the road for a crucial stretch of Southeastern Conference games beginning on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Fayetteville, Ark., against the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks.
The Crimson Tide, who improved to 13-8 overall and 4-4 in the SEC after an impressive 77-66 home win over Florida on Sunday, look to take their winning ways on the road as they will play four of their next five games away from the friendly confines of Coleman Coliseum.
Arkansas (13-8, 2-7 SEC) has had a week off from competition following a loss last Thursday at Auburn. The Lady Razorbacks have lost back-to-back games heading into Thursday's tilt, but they have enjoyed some success at home this year boasting an 8-2 mark in Bud Walton Arena. Arkansas leads the SEC and ranks second in the nation for steals per game at 14.4.
Alabama owns a slight 10-9 lead in the all-time series with Arkansas, but the Lady 'Backs have captured four of the last five meetings. The Crimson Tide handed Arkansas a 68-65 last year in Tuscaloosa.
Sports Radio 1420 AM "The Tusk" will carry the Bama-Arkansas game live on the radio and also over the internet at www.rolltide.com. Real time live statistics as well as video streaming of the game are also available at the Arkansas athletic website: www.ladybacks.com
Following Thursday's contest at Arkansas, the Crimson Tide continues its road swing on Sunday afternoon with a 2 p.m. battle in Oxford, Miss., versus the Ole Miss Lady Rebels.
