Baseball Team to Hold Final Preseason Scrimmage

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- With the 2005 season opener just one week away, the University of Alabama baseball team will hold its final preseason scrimmage this weekend at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.  Alabama has not scrimmaged in more than a week due to the recent stretch of rain and cold weather that has limited their outside work the past week.
 
The Crimson Tide will scrimmage on Friday, Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.  The final scrimmage will be Sunday, Feb. 6 at 2:30 p.m.
 
Alabama will open the 2005 season next Thursday (Feb. 10) as they open a four-game series against the University of Hawai'i in Honolulu.
