RIVALRY WEEK: Bama Women Host Auburn Thursday Night on Hardwood

TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team renews its rivalry with in-state foe Auburn on Thursday night at 8 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum.
The Crimson Tide, who slipped to 13-10 overall and 4-6 in the Southeastern Conference after a disappointing 68-54 loss at Ole Miss last Sunday, looks to bounce back and continue its strong play at home against the visiting Tigers. Alabama, who is tied for seventh in the SEC with Auburn, has posted a 9-2 record at home this year.
Auburn (13-10, 4-6 SEC) has won three of its last four games heading into Thursday's tilt with the Tide including an impressive 65-50 victory over Kentucky on Sunday. The Tigers are looking to earn a season sweep over Bama after posting a 59-43 win in the pair's first meeting on Jan. 23 in Auburn. AU has won three straight in the series.
Alabama holds a slight 30-29 edge in the all-time series with Auburn including a solid 18-6 mark at home. The Crimson Tide has posted a 10-2 mark versus the Tigers over the last 12 Tuscaloosa games.

Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) will televise the game live as part of an SEC women's basketball doubleheader. CSS will broadcast the South Carolina-Tennessee game at 6 p.m. followed by the Tide-Tigers at 8 p.m. Gary Harris (play-by-play) and Wendell Hudson (color analyst) will handle the broadcast duties.
Following the Auburn game, the Crimson Tide hits the road for its final two regular season road contests beginning on Sunday at South Carolina. The Tide and Lady Gamecocks will tip-off their rematch at 2 p.m. (ET) in Columbia, S.C. Alabama's final week of regular season play includes games at No. 22 Vanderbilt next Thursday and a home contest versus No. 6 Tennessee on Sunday, Jan. 27.
