Highlight dunks seem to keep piling up one by one for the Crimson Tide’s 6-8 junior forward from Atlanta, Georgia. Evan Brock is making his mark on Alabama Basketball with his defensive intensity and offensive force, which he seemed to inherit naturally from his father Ernie Brock, a former Harlem Globe Trotter.
Averaging 2.3 rebounds a game, and 2.8 points per game Brock provides consistent intensity when he comes off the bench. His eagerness to play and seemingly undeterred calm attitude is what highlights this machine that is Evan Brock.
What is more nerve racking, Atlanta traffic or shooting free throws on the road?
“Atlanta traffic definitely. You move about two inches per hour.”
What is the key to making an ESPN Top Ten play?
“You know you just got to get nasty every once and a while. It can’t just be a regular play.”
Is there one play that you have made at Alabama that will always stick with you?
“The dunk I had during the New Orleans game that made ESPN’s Top Ten. I came down on that guy’s back.”
What is your dream 3 on 3 team?
“Myself, Allen Iverson and Shaq.”
How do you get focused before a game?
“To get ready before a game, I just say a quick prayer to get my mind focused, then just get ready to get it done.”
