Fuentez and Snider Earn Volleyball All-SEC Honors

Fuentez has been the leader for Alabama all season long. A permanent team captain for the Crimson Tide, Fuentez led UA with 3.97 kills per game in SEC matches, a mark that was the sixth best in the league. The Tomball, Texas native also reached double figures in kills in 14 of 16 SEC contests, including the last eleven in a row. Fuentez also had three SEC matches in which she posted 20 or more kills.
In her first season with the Tide, Snider averaged 2.85 kills per game and 2.97 digs per game in league matches. The Oswego, Ill. native earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors the third week of the season. Snider had nine matches in which she reached double figures in kills, and nine in which she had 10 or more digs.
Fuentez and Snider lead Alabama into the SEC Tournament which begins on Friday in the CAVE. The Tide will face LSU in the first round of the tournament. First serve for the match is set for 7:30 p.m.
