Yearout Named to the SEC Good Works Team

Alabama senior Jessica Yearout has been named to the 2005 Southeastern Conference Volleyball Good Works Team the league office announced Wednesday.
Yearout has been a standout contributor to the Tuscaloosa community since joining the Alabama volleyball team as a transfer in 2004.
The St. Maries, Idaho native has volunteered at the Tuscaloosa Animal Shelter during her time in Tuscaloosa, helping match pets with prospective owners through behavioral studies.
The Tide’s libero also read to and tutored kids at University Place Elementary School, helping promote education and reading throughout the Tuscaloosa area.
Yearout has also spent time helping to build houses with the Habitat for Humanity program as well as spending time with evacuees from Hurricane Katrina who stayed at the University Recreation Center.
The SEC sponsors Good Works Teams for all 20 league sponsored sports. The Good Works Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to her community with superior service efforts.
