Tide Softball Hosting Fall Brawl II

The Crimson Tide softball team will close out its fall competition this weekend as the team hosts Fall Brawl II at the UA Softball Complex on Saturday.
Alabama will look to continue the success it met with at last week's tournament. The Tide needed only 10 innings combined to defeat Wallace-Dothan (11-0 in five innings) and Wallace-Hanceville (9-0 in five innings). The Crimson Tide pitching staff allowed only three hits while recording 18 strikeouts. The Alabama offense hit .438 in the two games led by sophomore Dani Woods' three home runs and eight RBI.
The Tide will host Jefferson State Community College and Chipola (Fla.) Junior College in a double header. The format will be similar to last week's tournament with Jefferson State and Chipola squaring off at 12:00 p.m. followed by Alabama vs. Chipola at 2:00 p.m. The Crimson Tide will close out the afternoon at 4:00 p.m. taking on the Lady Pioneers of Jefferson State.
