TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women’s basketball team added another game to its television schedule for the 2005-06 campaign. The Tide’s home match-up with perennial power Tennessee on Feb. 19 will be televised by Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). The contest, originally slated for a 2 p.m. tip-off, has been moved up and will now begin at noon.
The announcement gives the Tide at least two televised games this season. The Alabama-Ole Miss game in Tuscaloosa on Feb. 9 will be shown on Fox Sports Net South.
Alabama’s appearance on CSS will mark the Tide’s 19th time on the network. Alabama owns a 9-9 record in the previous 18 games televised by CSS. The Tide’s last appearance on CSS was on Feb. 12, 2004, a 77-51 loss at South Carolina.
