One of two mid-semester transfers to join the Alabama team in January, Ian Moore will compete for a spot in the Alabama bullpen this season.
SUMMER (2004):
- Pitched the summer for the Wichita (Kansas) Twins in the Walter Johnson League
- He compiled a 1.50 ERA while pitching for the Twins
JOHN A. LOGAN COLLEGE (2004):
- Pitched one season at John A. Logan College for coach Jerry Halstad
- Helped his team to a 40-18 overall record
- Led his team to the championship of the Great Rivers Athletic Conference with a 20-8 league record
- Moore appeared in 15 games, including 12 starts, and compiled a 4-3 record and 7.33 ERA
- He worked 70 innings and allowed 72 hits, 69 runs and 57 earned runs, with 46 walks and 82 strikeouts
- Opponents batted just .263 against the right-hander
- John A. Logan opened their 2004 baseball season in the state of Alabama and Moore pitched two games in the state against Central Alabama CC (Alexander City) and Southern Union (Wadley)
- A 2002 graduate of Reidland High School
- Played basketball and baseball
- His baseball coach was Brian Bowland
- As a prep senior, Moore compiled a 1.73 ERA in 76 innings on the mound
- He was named the 2002 Reidland HS Most Valuable Player
