Alabama Baseball Preseason Barbeque Set for January 30th

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The 22nd Alabama GrandSlammers preseason baseball barbecue will be held Sunday, Jan. 30 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the Scholarship Room at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The annual preseason barbecue is the official start to the college baseball season for the University of Alabama baseball team and is a great for the fans to meet the team and hear from Head Coach Jim Wells about the upcoming season.
The barbecue is free to all GrandSlammer members. Individual members will be give two complimentary tickets, while those with family memberships will be given four complementary admissions. The cost for non Alabama GrandSlammer members is $10 per person.
In addition to the barbecue, fans will also have a chance to meet the 2005 Crimson Tide baseball team and hear from coach Wells about the team's progress during the preseason.
Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase official Alabama Baseball and Alabama GrandSlammers merchandise at this year's barbecue, including white Alabama GrandSlammers logo golf shirt ($25), gray and red Alabama Baseball t-shirts ($12), white and gray Alabama Baseball sweatshirts ($20), gray fleece Alabama GrandSlammers logo jacket ($35) and GrandSlammer car tags ($5).
Also, free posters and schedule cards will also be available for those interested in obtaining any autographs.
The Alabama GrandSlammers will also host a silent auction in conjunction with this year's barbecue.

The 2005 Alabama GrandSlammers officers include Hughston (president), Rick Pendley (vice president), Mike McDaniel (treasurer) and Gene Smith (secretary).
The 2005 Board of Directors includes Ken Garner (1-year term), Buddy Hughes (1-year term), Chris King (ex-officio), Dot Kirkham (honorary), Bob Martin (2-year term), Scott McClanahan (2-year term), David Pradat (1-year term), Greg Rhoden (2-year term), Hugh Waytt (1-year term) and Robbie Wyatt (2-year term).
