TUSCALOOSA – The University of Alabama’s home volleyball match versus Florida State that was scheduled for Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the CAVE has been postponed until a yet to be determined date later this season.
FSU coaches and administrators contacted Alabama early on Monday morning to let them know that rain and flooding associated with Hurricane Frances would prevent the Seminole volleyball squad from getting to Tuscaloosa for Tuesday night’s match.
Alabama, coming off an impressive opening week that saw the Tide post a perfect 4-0 record and capture the tournament title at the Hampton Inn – Bama Bash, now turns its attention to its first road trip of the season. The Tide heads to Arlington, Texas, to participate in the UTA Invitational on Sept. 10-11. Bama squares off against tournament host UT-Arlington on Friday night at 7 p.m. then meets Arkansas-Little Rock at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Following the tournament, the Tide returns home for a match next Tuesday (Sept. 14) versus in-state foe Birmingham-Southern at 7 p.m.
