2005 Redshirted: Trent underwent successful surgery to his right foot in early August and used 2005 as his redshirt season
2004 (Freshman): Trent earned his first career start in the regular season finale against Auburn and then went on to start in the Music City Bowl. He played 45 snaps in the Auburn game and a total of 193 on the season. He saw action in all 12 games during the season.
Prep: Davidson was one of two tight ends to sign with the Tide in 2004. He was considered an outstanding all-around tight end, an excellent blocker and receiver. Davidson also handled long-snapping duties for his squad. He was a Class 3A All-State selection by ASWA and was ranked the No. 12 player in Alabama by SuperPrep magazine. He was a finalist for 3A Lineman of the Year and was an Honors graduate with a 3.4 GPA. Davidson helped T.R. Miller to the semifinals of the state playoffs before falling to the eventual state champions Pike County, in overtime. As a junior, he had 12 receptions for 365 yards and a pair of TDs to earn All-State honors. He was also a finalist for the 3A Lineman of the Year. As a freshman, he was a starter on Miller's state championship team.
Personal: Trent is the son of Sharon and Gerald Davidson and he is an only child. Born 3-27-86. He is a General Studies major.
