2006 (Junior): Led the team with 74 tackles, including 41 solo stops. He also had three interceptions, 1.5 tackles for a loss and two pass breakups in 12 starts at safety. He led the team in tackles four times and had six games with seven or more tackles. He had at least four tackles in all 12 games. He tallied four tackles and ran an interception back 24 yards for his first career touchdown against Mississippi State. Dukes led the Crimson Tide with seven tackles and an interception at Arkansas. He was tied for the team lead with eight tackles and one pass breakup against Duke. He led the team with six tackles against both Florida International and Auburn. He finished second on the squad with seven tackles in the season opener against Hawai’i. He also had eight tackles at LSU and seven stops at Tennessee. Dukes recorded a pass breakup to go with five tackles in 49 plays against Vanderbilt in the SEC opener and had five tackles with one tackle for a loss at Florida. He snagged his first career interception against Louisiana Monroe to go along with four tackles. He led the defense with 758 plays and was one of only six players to play over 700 total snaps. He recorded a season-high 78 snaps at Tennessee and played over 60 snaps in nine of the 12 games. Dukes served as a captain three times. He led the defense against Vanderbilt and the special teams against both Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
2005 (Junior): Jeffrey played in every game, getting a start against Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl. He finished with 401 snaps on the season and a career-high 72 in the Texas Tech game. He closed the season with 13 tackles and had one interception against Southern Miss. He had a career-high four tackles against Florida and had three against Utah State.
2004 (Sophomore): Jeffrey saw action in every game, basically on special teams, although he played 39 snaps during the Music City Bowl. He finished the regular season with 143 snaps. He had seven tackles on the year and forced two fumbles, one against Western Carolina and another against Minnesota in the Music City Bowl.
2003 (Freshman): While playing at Northwest Community College in Senatobia, Miss., Dukes had four interceptions, returning two for touchdowns. He also turned in 77 tackles. He earned honorable mention All-State honors by MACJC and was also recognized by Street & Smith's magazine as a “Super Sophomore”.
Prep: Jeffrey was the offensive and defensive MVP at Lafayette High School as a prep senior and was also selected to play for the Mississippi High School All-Star team. He was a three-sport letterman in football, basketball and baseball.
Personal: He is the son of Bettye and John Dukes and has one brother, John and two sisters, Jennifer and Cerissa. Born 4-24-85. He is a General Studies major.
