TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- All eleven Alabama football games in 2004 will be delay televised Saturday at 11 p.m. on a state-wide network, Crimson Tide Athletics Director Mal Moore announced Friday.
In addition, Fox Sports South and CSS will carry the games later in the week throughout the South.
"This is one of the nation's most ambitious local television packages," Moore said. "We thank Crimson Tide Sports Marketing and Don Early of WOTM-TV for their efforts in putting this Network together.
"Our goal is to utilize the Alabama Cable Network, Fox Sports South and others to bring the Tide to as many homes as possible throughout the Southeast," Moore said.
The game telecasts will be an original production of WOTM-TV in Birmingham with David Crane and Chris Stewart calling the action. The Saturday night coverage will be on WOTM-TV (channel 19) in Birmingham, WVUA-TV (channel 7) in Tuscaloosa, WNCF-TV (channel 32) in Montgomery, WJTC (channel 44) in Mobile, WHDF (channel 15) in Huntsville, WJXS (channel 24) in Anniston and WYAM (channel 56) in Decatur.
Early indicated discussions are ongoing with stations in Dothan for coverage in that area as well.
Fox Sports South, with eight million homes, will re-air the games on Tuesday's at 11 am, while CSS, with four million homes, will show the telecasts Thursday at 7 pm and Cox Cable will carry the game to over two million homes in Louisiana on Thursday nights each week.
