Jamie emerged from spring practice as the leading candidate to replace All-SEC kicker Brian Bostick, although he will get get some strong competition in fall practice.
2004 (Freshman): Appearing in every game, Jamie performed the all-important kickoff duties for the Tide. He handled 62 kickoffs during the season, with 24 going for touchbacks and just two out of bounds.
2003 Redshirted
2002 (Prep School): Jamie attended prep school at The Naval Academy in Newport, R.I., where he was 7-of-8 kicking field goals and 42 percent of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
Prep: He was named All-County in football at Norcross High School and was an all-state soccer player as well. He kicked a school-record 52-yard field goal while going 9-for-12 in field goals. As a kickoff specialist, 88 percent of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
Personal: He is the son of Donna and Edward Christensen and he has a brother, Derek and a sister, Tiffany. Born 7-9-84. He is in Pre-Business studies.
