EDITOR'S NOTE: This is the 13th in a series of daily journals written by Crimson Tide volleyball players. The journals will give a first-hand account of their experiences as they prepare for the 2004 season, and give an inside look at Alabama Volleyball.

Wow! It is so hard to believe that today was the last day of two-a-days. Already this season seems to be flying by and our team is making huge progress. The morning session started with a little ball control led by Erich along with some defense. One of the highlights of our warm up was when the right sides and middle backs finished our digging to target drill that we hadn’t completed from Saturday. Way to go guys!!! We ended our morning session with our passing ladder. Watch out everyone the thugs are moving up! Our lunch today was catered by Jason’s Deli. Can I just say they have the best fruit cups ever(Bowl Cut!!!!) When our evening session started we broke up into two courts and the middles worked on passing short balls and running a middle attack. From there we worked on our defensive footwork. The last hour of practice we mostly played and went through three of our side out rotations. After our evening practice we headed to the weight room and although we were all wondering how we were going to get through it we all managed to pump that iron!!! Just when we thought our day was over Mandy told us that the whole team had an appointment with the cold tanks. It was pretty chilly!!!
Tonight some people on the team are planning on going to a scary movie, but I won’t be joining them. Scary movies do not go over very well with me...I will loose sleep because I will scare myself.
I am already looking forward to tomorrow. It is our Crimson vs. White scrimmage and we are all really excited. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds for our team. Keep up the good work TIDE and keep improving everyday. For everyone else if you don’t have plans tomorrow night at 7. I suggest you stop by the CAVE and check us out!!!
