I slept so well last night! Well besides the fact that my new Australian roommate was sleep talking through the night. When you hear someone sleep talk, you usually just turn over and go back to sleep; but the fact that she said it with an awesome accent made it twice as amusing. It was a start to a really good day.
We were awarded with the morning session off, so we started at three. The team had a really effective practice and of course we got better! That’s our goal everyday, but I am sure you have heard the other girls say that as well. I would have to say the best part of practice was when we all came in to huddle up and Julie Farley turned and started to sprint to the Gatorade! She must have been thirsty!
Today, we had a meeting at 1:30 and some of us got there early and had plenty of entertainment from Abbi Blackburn! We started with some Justin Timberlake, and then found that Brigitte Slack wanted to join in when she sang Reba McEntire! It was really funny. I love the girls on this team! I can be with anyone of them and laugh so much. We get along so well on and off the court which is such a great thing to have on a team.
After practice we were all invited to Coach Redding’s house for some great food by the way and the entertainment of Erin Heffner’s opinion and judging the synchronized diving. It was a little blunter then what an official judge would give. We finished the night off with delicious ice-cream sandwiches! Man, were those good or what?!
That’s pretty much how the day went. I can only say to anyone reading this, I better see you at our first match on September first at seven!! For those of you crossing into the blue, I will see you in November! Being a freshman, I want to be impressed, so don’t let me down! Keep up the good work ya’ll and Roll Tide!!!!
