Rain Postpones Bama-LSU Baseball Series Opener

BATON ROUGE, La. - The University of Alabama baseball team's series opener with LSU has been postponed due to rain, which saturated Alex Box Stadium and the Baton Rouge, La. area on Friday.

The teams are now scheduled for a double-header on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m., with the second game of the double-header beginning approximately 45 minutes after the end of game one. Game three remains on schedule for 1 p.m. on Sunday, although more rain is forecasted for the area.
Alabama (24-18, 6-12 SEC) is trying for its first Southeastern Conference series win since sweeping Arkansas in a three-game set in 2003, while No. 6 LSU (32-11, 10-8 SEC) enters the weekend with series wins in five of their last six SEC series.
