
Alabama Men's Track Travels to South Florida Invitational

Following a week off from competition the University of Alabama men’s track and field team heads to sunny Tampa, Florida for the South Florida Invitational this weekend.
The Crimson Tide is coming off its sixth consecutive Alabama Relays Championship, a meet where they had athletes post 12 times that rank in the Top 10 in the SEC.
Steven Boozer was the biggest winner, posting an NCAA Regional qualifying mark of 177’9.75” in the discus. Alabama’s 4x800m relay team currently ranks second in the conference while Justin Adamson (Decathlon), Josphat Waweru (1,500m) and Brian Rohrer (Pole Vault) all rank third in their event in the conference.
David Vondruska currently ranks fifth in the SEC in the 800m and seventh in the 5k.
Gabe Warren (High Jump) and Erroll Hickenbottom (Long Jump) each check in at seventh, Roy Jossfolk (High Jump) ranks ninth and Alex Korir (5k) and Randy Cheddasingh (Long Jump) rank tenth in their respective events.
The meet is scheduled to begin on Friday at 4:00 p.m. with long jump and will conclude on Saturday with 4x400m relay scheduled for 9:15 p.m. All times are Eastern.
