TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team completed its 14th practice Thursday in a two-hour shorts and helmets workout at Thomas-Drew practice field in Tuscaloosa.
The squad's last football action of the spring will be the A-Day game on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
"Even though it's March and even though it's just spring practice we want to go out there in front of our fans and look sharp," Alabama head coach Mike Shula said.
"We won't have all of our packages (installed) in any three phases of the game, but we want to let these guys go play and see who can come out and play a little bit better with a few more people watching. We got better from the first scrimmage to the second and hopefully we'll get better from last Saturday to this Saturday."
On Friday, the A-Club Golf Tournament will be held at Ol' Colony Golf Club. Fan Day will take place Saturday at Coleman Coliseum from 9-11 a.m., followed by the Tide Pride Luncheon at 11:30. At 1:30 p.m. at Denny Chimes the Walk-of-Fame ceremony will take place, where 2003 captains Derrick Pope and Shaud Williams will be honored.
