TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team takes the short trip across the stateline on Sunday to meet Mississippi State in the regular season finale for both squads. The game is set to tip-off at 3 p.m. at Coleman Coliseum.
Alabama, 12-14 overall and 4-9 in the SEC, is looking to rebound from a very disappointing performance against rival Auburn on Thursday night. The Tide is currently holding the 10th seed spot for next week's SEC Tournament but could improve to 9th with a win over MSU.
Mississippi State (12-14, 6-7 SEC) has dropped its last two games heading into Sunday's finale and are also looking to solidify their seeding for the SEC Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs are also searching for back-to-back wins against Bama for the first time since the 1980 & 1981 seasons. MSU handed the Tide a 65-57 loss on Jan. 25 in Tuscaloosa.
Following Sunday's game, Alabama will turn its attention to the SEC Tournament slated to begin on Mar. 4 at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Tenn.
