“I am pleased to have someone of Erich’s knowledge, character and work ethic joining our volleyball program,” said Green. “His experience, enthusiasm and passion for the game will be a huge asset for our student-athletes. He brings with him a solid recruiting base in the Midwest and will serve as our MidWest Recruiting coordinator. Erich will also oversee the on-court training of our outside hitters, liberos and defensive specialists.”

His collegiate experience also includes assisting in the inaugural season at Division III Alverno College.
“Obviousily, it is really exciting for me to have the opportunity to coach at the University of Alabama,” said Hinterstocker. “The athletic tradition at Alabama makes it one of the premiere programs in the country and it’s an honor for me to be a part of that tradition. I believe Coach Green has built a very successful volleyball program and look forward to getting a chance to help this program continue to improve. From the commitment to facilities to the excellence in academics to the challenge of coaching the Southeastern Conference, I feel like this job is just a tremendous opportunity for me.”
