Shelton Nesting Doll Will Be Given Away At Saturday Game

TUSCALOOSA - The first 1,000 fans through the doors at Coleman Coliseum on Saturday night for Alabama's game against Tennessee State will receive an Earnest Shelton nesting doll. The collectible is the first of a three-piece set that will be given out this season at University of Alabama home basketball games. The Kennedy Winston nesting doll will be given away at the January 18 Mississippi State game, and the final piece to the set, featuring Chuck Davis, will be given away at the February 16 Arkansas game.
Other Tide home promotions include trading cards featuring Alabama's 2004-05 players which will be given away at the January 1 game against New Orleans and on February 19 when Alabama plays South Carolina, a Reggie King bobble head is the scheduled giveaway. King is a former Tide All-American who went on to a successful NBA career.
Alabama plays Tennessee State at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 18. Tickets are available at the door or, in advance by calling 205-348-BAMA. The Tide is doing a special holiday promotion for its fans with kids. Ticket prices are reduced to $5 for all kids aged 15 and under for Saturday night's game against Tennessee State as well as the December 22 game against Texas A&M Corpus Christi, a team receiving votes in the national rankings this week, and the January 1 game against New Orleans.
