Javier Bes

Alabama head tennis coach Billy Pate has announced the addition of Javier Bes to the Crimson Tide tennis team for the 2005 season.

Bes, a native of Unceta, Spain and one of the top prospects out of Spain will join the team in January.

“We are delighted that Javier will be joining our team for the spring season,” said Pate. “He has a very experienced and successful background in Spain and I expect him to help our team immediately once we begin the spring season.”

Just this past weekend, Bes helped lead his club team to a tournament championship in Spain. Since he began competing at the age of seven, Bes has won over 30 singles championships and 15 team titles.
