College Football News also had this to say about Alabama sophomore tailback Kenneth Darby, who replaced the injured Ray Hudson as the Tide's starter at tailback: "Player who'll step up in the second half - Kenneth Darby, RB Alabama With RB Ray Hudson and QB Brodie Croyle out for the year, it'll be up to Darby to carry the Tide offense. He tore off 296 yards and three touchdowns against Kentucky and Southern Miss and will continue to be fed the ball over and over and over again."
