Crystal Hudson is in her second year but just first season of play with the Alabama Volleyball team. A redshirt freshman from Hueytown, Ala., Crystal plays the outside hitter position for the Tide. One of just two Alabama natives on the Tide roster this year she has been a starter in every match. Crystal is one of the most athletic players on the Bama squad and possesses a smile and outgoing personality that lights up the room and an armswing able to punish opponent’s defenders. She has tallied double digit kills in 12 matches this year including a career high 18 in a match versus UT-Arlington. Crystal ranks third on the team in kills per game (2.85) and ranks second for block solos.
Crystal and her teammates open a stretch of seven straight matches against SEC Western Division foes this weekend with road contests at Mississippi State (Friday) and Ole Miss (Sunday).
