The Alabama Swimming and Diving Teams return to action this Friday and Saturday against Georgia and Georgia Tech at the Alabama Aquatic Center.
The Crimson Tide will face Georgia at 3 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 9) and the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech Saturday (Jan. 10) at 2 p.m. Admission to both meets is free.
Alabama is coming off an extended break in competition, having last suited up at the beginning December at the UGA Invitational and the U.S. Open. Head coach Eric McIlquham's troops haven't been slacking off though. Just before the holidays, the Alabama swimmers traveled to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for a week-long training camp. The Tide divers, under the direction of coach Pat Greenwell, held their holiday training camp St. Peters, Mo. just outside of St. Louis, which will be the home of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Both the men and women are 4-1-0 coming into the weekend and 1-1-0 in Southeastern Conference competition.
