TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team (10-8, 2-3 SEC) hit the road for a pair of Southeastern Conference road games this week starting on Thursday night at Florida (13-5, 3-2 SEC).
The Crimson Tide is looking to regain their winning form and halt their current three-game losing skid. Alabama has gotten out the blocks slowly in each of their last four games, falling behind by double-digit margins before rallying in the second half to make things close.
Florida is riding a two-game win streak and enters the match-up well rested having had Sunday off from competition. The Gators outlasted South Carolina, 61-56, last Thursday night. UF is led by senior All-American candidate Vanessa Hayden, who averages a double-double with 19.5 points and an SEC leading 11.7 rebounds a game.
Following its game at Florida, the Tide continues its challenging road trip on Sunday afternoon against No. 19 Georgia in Athens, Ga.
