TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team (10-5, 2-0 SEC) takes its undefeated record in Southeastern Conference play on the road for the first time this season when Alabama visits No. 5 Tennessee (13-1, 3-0 SEC) on Sunday at 3 p.m. (ET).
The Crimson Tide remained perfect in league play on Thursday night with an impressive 67-62 victory over Ole Miss. Bama used a 17-2 run to overcome a 14-point second half deficit to earn their second straight win in the SEC.
With a pair of conference wins already, UA is just one win shy of last year's win total in SEC play. The Ole Miss victory also was the squad's 10th this season marking the 30th consecutive year that Alabama has tallied double figure victories.
Tennessee brings a six-game win streak into Sunday's tilt with Alabama including an impressive 86-58 victory over South Carolina on Thursday night. The Lady Vols own a 33-2 edge in the all-time series with Bama and have won the last 26 meetings.
Alabama's last win over Tennessee came in the 1984 SEC Tournament with Rick Moody as a Crimson Tide assistant coach and current assistant C.C. Moorer serving as UA's leading scorer.
Following their trip to Knoxville, the Crimson Tide continues its SEC road swing on Thursday night with a visit to rival Auburn. The Tigers, currently ranked 20th in the nation, mark the second straight ranked foe for Alabama.
