Even though her collegiate career, which ended with a trip to the NCAA Championships and All-American honors, is over, Judyth Kitson isn't quite finished with her senior season.
The Psychology major has spent the summer in international competition for her native Jamaica, including stops at the Pan-Am Games and the World Championships.
At the World Championships held in Paris France, Kitson reached the quarter-finals of the 100m dash. She finished third in her prelimary heat, finishing just behind the United State's Gail Devers. Kitson then took seventh in her quarter final heat with an 11.61 finish.
She earned a relay medal at the Pan Am Games, held in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic in early August, taking the bronze as part of Jamaica's 4x100m relay. Individually at the Pan Am Games, Kitson took seventh in the 100m dash with a 11.48 and eighth in the 200m dash with a 23.80.
Kitson also participated in the Central American and Caribbean Championships held July 4-6 in Gernada.
Kitson wasn't alone on the international circuit. Throwers Beth Mallory and Aymara Albury both competed at the Junior Pan Am Games for the United States and the Bahamas respectively with Mallory earning a pair of silver medals in the hammer and the discus.
