TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama men’s tennis team opens its fall competition this weekend at the University of Miami Fall Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla.
Competing in the event for the Crimson Tide is seniors Christian Brodersen (Heinsberg, Germany) and Chris Gostek (Toronto, Ontario) along with freshmen Mike Green (Port St. Luce, Fla.) and Joseph Jung (Deerfield Beach, Fla.).
“We’re eagerly anticipating the open of the fall season,” Alabama head coach Billy Pate said. “We feel like we have a chance to get a lot of competition at this tournament and we’ll be able to see where our freshmen are and how much the seniors improved over the summer.”
N.C. State, Central Florida, Florida Atlantic and Miami are the other teams competing in the “hidden-dual” tournament format. Matches begin on Friday and continue through Sunday.
