With Kenneth Darby out for spring practice, Aaron got most of the repititions at the tailback position.
2004 (Freshman): Aaron played sparingly, but saw prominent action in the Music City Bowl against Minnesota. He saw action in eight games and 97 snaps. Aaron rushed for 200 yards on 53 carries to average 3.8 yards per carry. His longest run of 44 yards came against Western Carolina. He also caught three passes for 24 yards. Aaron had 86 yards rushing on 11 carries against Western Carolina and 24 yards on nine carries in the season finale against Auburn.
Prep: Johns, a life-long Alabama fan, was the ASWA class 4A Back of the Year and Montgomery Advertiser Player of the Year his senior season when he rushed for 2,050 yards on 183 carries and had 33 TDs. Johns also had 224 receiving yards. He scored 37 total touchdowns in his career. As a junior, while splitting time with three other backs, Johns rushed for over 700 yards and recorded three interceptions on defense. Johns was listed as the No. 26 player in Alabama by SuperPrep magazine.
Personal: He is the son of Margaret and the late Earl Johns and has an older brother, Adrian. Aaron is the cousin of current Tide player Anthony Madison. Born 9-5-84. He is in pre-major studies.
