I am NOW a University of Alabama alum. TODAY I GRADUATED!!! Wow...it just seems like yesterday that I reported in August for my first day of preseason my freshman year. I was blessed with the opportunity to graduate in three years, so now as I begin my senior season I will also be beginning my graduate studies in Marketing here at Alabama.
Graduation took place at 9 o'clock this morning. My mom, dad, sister, grandmother, aunt, and uncle all came to T-town for the big event. It was great to spend time with them and share the special occasion with them. I am thankful for family that loves me so much and is always there to support everything that I do in life. I was glad to share this special day with people that I love. Also, the whole team and coaches came to cheer me on as I walked across the stage to receive my diploma. My teammates were equipped with big signs, one displaying the words, "DON'T TRIP." They stood and yelled as my name was called. President Witt even noticed my loud cheering section because, as I shook his hand, he said, "You have quite a big fan club up there." I am so thankful for the support from my teammates and my coaches. It meant a lot to me to have them there as I took the next step towards "real life."
Another GREAT part of today was we had the day off from practice...YAY!!! We have been working so hard in the gym that we earned a day to get some rest and let our muscles recover. Everyone took advantage of today to SLEEP and stay off their feet.
I am ready to get back in the gym tomorrow to continue to get better. The fun is just beginning. We are improving every day in the gym and we are learning to play together. Everyone's personalities are meshing so well...this the THE YEAR that GREAT things will happen.
What a SUPER day!!! The LORD has blessed me in more ways than I can count. I am thankful for the opportunity for be a part of this volleyball program at this time with these people. I also thank God for the family that contributed to getting me to this point in my life.
Well...off to sleep. Sweet dreams.
ROLL TIDE ROLL!
