2004 Preseason Journal

This is a 14-part series of daily journals written by Crimson Tide volleyball players. The journals will give a first-hand account of their experiences as they prepare for the 2004 season, and give an inside look at Alabama Volleyball.

	August 12 - Kory Tull I woke up at exactly 4:44 AM this morning. I know I remember it because I was so excited and anxious to get up for our first practice. I really couldn't fall back asleep after that...
	August 13 - Jessica Yearout Today was the second day of preseason practicing but the first official double day practice. It really feels great to be in the gym with a group of girls that are willing to work hard.
	August 14 - Mary Beth Moore For those of you who don't know, today was our third day of preseason practice, and let me just say that it was a great day...for two reasons.
	August 15 - Megan Hudson Well well well!! It is my turn to tell you about what's going on with the volleyball team. My name is Megan and I am a freshman. I absolutely love it here. The girls on the team are awesome!
	August 16 - Julie Farley At 7:30 am, the alarm clock rings. It felt like I just went to sleep like 15 minutes before that!!! After hitting the snooze button a few times, I rolled out of bed knowing that I had a full day ahead of me.
	August 17 - Bridget Fuentez I slept so well last night! Well besides the fact that my new Australian roommate was sleep talking through the night... It was a start to a really good day.
	August 18 - Crystal Hudson Today ended our first sequence of preseason. We have really been working hard to make our weaknesses strong and our strengths even stronger.
	August 19 - Sean Kelley Today is my journal, the team manager's journal. Unfortunately, I do not have that much to write about seeing as to how we were all given the day off.
	August 20 - Rachael Green Today is my day to write to you about what has been going on with the volleyball team in the CAVE. Today ended our 9th day of preseason, and it ended on a good strong note!
	August 21 - Kelley Potter Day 10 of preseason and only 11 more days until our first true test. Today's practice was a day for individual improvements. The day began with some basic passing drills to get our feet moving...
	August 22 - Brigitte Slack Well today marks the end of yet another day of preseason. And for those of you who don't know me yet, I am a quote fanatic. So I thought that I would start off with one and keep referring back...
	August 23 - Abbi Blackburn Hmm... Where to begin? Well, it's 6:25 pm on the 22nd day of August and I'm chillin' in mi casa. Looking back on today I have many different feelings.
	August 24 - Katie Barker Wow! It is so hard to believe that today was the last day of two-a-days. Already this season seems to be flying by and our team is making huge progress..
	August 25 - Erin Heffner Well, well, well, where do I start? This is the official end of my volleyball preseason here at Alabama. This preseason has been one of the best since I have been here...
