The University of Alabama men's track and field team continued its string of solid performances, this time posting three NCAA Regional qualifying times at the Jesse Owens Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
Peter Etoot, Todd Fayant and Isaac Robinson were the regional qualifiers this week, although all three have already qualified in their respective events, they continued their consistent performance this week.
Etoot posted a qualifying mark of 1:49.91 in the 800m which placed him third in the meet. Fayant finished seventh with a time of 9:06.97 in the 3k steeplechase. And Isaac Robinson finished third with a mark of 24'05.00" in the long jump.
All three qualifying times were also the second fastest and longest marks of the season for each individual.
The three qualifying marks give the Crimson Tide 18 qualifying times and marks on the season.
The meet in Columbus was a chance for some of the schools to scout out the track as the 2003 Mideast Region NCAA Qualifying meet will be held at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium later this month.
