Alabama is among, the University of Arizona, Cal-State Fullerton University, the University of Florida, Fresno State, the University of Michigan, the University of Nebraska, and the University of Texas to receive a site.
“This is very exciting for the program,” said Alabama Head Coach Patrick Murphy. “I’m excited to have seven of the top teams in the country come to our stadium and experience the wonderful hospitality.”
The selection marks the second time in three years that the Crimson Tide has hosted an NCAA Regional as the team hosted the 2001 NCAA Region IV Tournament. The Michigan Wolverines captured the tournament title that year and a free pass to the Women’s College World Series.
Ticket prices for the tournament are $35 for an adult tournament pass and $25 for a youth (15 and under) tournament pass. Session passes will be available for $10 for adults and $6 for youth. For ticket information, fans can call the University of Alabama Athletic Ticket Department at 205.348.BAMA at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 28.
The entire field of 64 and where they will be playing will be determined on Sunday, May 11.
