Football Homecoming Set for October 11 vs. Southern Miss

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama's football game with Southern Miss on Oct. 11 has been set as the Tide's 2003 Homecoming contest. Kickoff time has not been set.
Alabama is 68-13-1 in Homecoming games and this will mark the sixth time Southern Miss will be the Tide's Homecoming opponent. Alabama is a perfect 5-0 against the Golden Eagles in those previous games.
A total of 25 different opponents have played Alabama on Homecoming, but Mississippi State has been the most frequent opponent, meeting 24 times since the first Homecoming game on Nov. 11, 1920.
